Visualizing sports results. An experimental project for athletics.
Athletics Viz is a web platform for the visualization of the athletics results of major international competitions. It starts with racewalking results at the World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022.
The purpose of the narratives is to tell the drama of each race through graphs, showing in detail the evolution of the performances and adding the historic context to frame the results. The ecosystem of communication of Athletics Viz is composed of a website and social channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook). The experimental project is described in the thesis book.
